Report: NEC consolidating domestic chip work, sends work to Toshiba
November 30, 2007 - NEC is evaluating structure to consolidate its chipmaking humble to spend money, and same Sony expects to outsource creation of next-generation chips to Toshiba, mayhap by as primeval as 2009, according to the Nikkei daily.
