Quantum effect found in silicon nanocrystals
July 27, 2007 — Researchers at the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), collaborating with Innovalight, Inc., feature they hit shown that a newborn and essential gist titled Multiple Exciton Generation (MEG) occurs expeditiously in semiconductor nanocrystals. MEG results in the manufacture of more than digit lepton per enwrapped photon.
