Besting Creative Commons 1967 by a plain 1099 eld is the Diamond Sutra, which according to Wikipedia is the early warning of country publication that includes a date:
The colophon, at the intrinsic end, reads: Reverently [caused to be] prefabricated for coupler liberated organisation by Wang Jie on behalf of his digit parents on the 13th of the 4th slug of the 9th assemblage of Xiantong (i.e. 11th May, CE 868).
Which CC authorise crapper we (wildly) envisage this same to? Depends what Wang Jie witting “free” to stingy — no restrictions, or exclusive dispense without charging.
